Longford people are being invited to take part in Granard’s weekly horticultural group and to enjoy the many benefits that gardening brings with it, namely a boost to wellbeing, develop new gardening skills, reduce stress, and learn how to create beautiful outdoor spaces.
The group meets every Tuesday from 11am to 1pm and welcomes participants of all levels, from beginners to experienced gardeners.
Organisers say the sessions offer an opportunity to learn how to grow plants and flowers, create attractive outdoor spaces, and connect with others in the community.
The initiative is based at Lus na Gréine Family Resource Centre in Granard, where members can also find information on other local events and supports.
Those interested in joining or finding out more can contact 043 666 0977, email reception@lngfrc.ie, visit the centre opposite the post office on Main Street, Granard (N39 R7X4), or check the Lus na Gréine Family Resource Centre Facebook page for updates.
