Dandelions are apparently all over the world. I found these along a sidewalk in Bayeau, France while on a World War II tour of the Normandy region of France, Belgium and Germany.

You can eat all parts of the dandelion plant (leaves, flowers, roots) from your garden, provided they are not sprayed with chemicals or located in high-traffic, polluted areas. They are nutritious, high in vitamins A, C, and K, but best harvested young to avoid extreme bitterness.
