This are popping up all over my yard and flower bed, New England area


I love them but my hoa will probably be killing them soon.

Besides the flower there’s also some clover(?) growing that you can kinda see in pic 2 and more so in pic four.

    Violet lawns are beautiful. Don’t rip them out, they’re better for the ecosystem than grass.

    Violas. We call them Johnny Jump Ups. Grow all over my yard in the spring. I love them.

    Every picture except #3 are native to Europe and sold in plant stores. #3 is our native one.

    They all only bloom for a little while in the spring. I love them though.

    These are violas – the common name for them is Johnny jump ups- very cute.

    Violas. They are beautiful and tend to naturalize when they are planted in a good place. They don’t take over, they don’t crowd natives and I think they are pretty

    Violets are edible, if you know if the grass has been treated. But you can sugar them and decorate cakes with them
