About 5 years ago I removed this from a tree that was going to be cut down. I mounted to the driftwood and added to my screeroom gang 😁 After 5 years the roots have spread and grown and the plant overall has doubled in size. In the second pic, lower right you can see a new stem coming out the back side. I've just removed the zip ties I used to mount it initially. They came out with no effort and didn't harm the roots at all. This came from a friend's neighbor with a phal and a few others that survived. No one has ever actually seen this one bloom soo…

I would love to see it bloom 🀯

Good roots but damn that thing is thirsty!

Weekly water in Florida for a mounted catt? I would up that to daily. At least every other day. Also, it has been in somewhat too much sun.. can you give it a little more shade? (That won’t affect blooming, but will make the plant a bit happier). And do you fertilize regularly? Also, when watering, set a sprinkler on it for 10 minutes, not just a quick shower

Daily watering will go a long way! I keep all my orchids outside and water nearly everyday and they grow like crazy! I will never keep an orchid indoors again unless it’s just to enjoy the flowers for a little while.
