Hello! Just got a basil for the first time not too long ago. I know for a fact that I most definitely overwatered this poor plant. I was still trying to figure out how to appropriately water it since so many guides said that it needed constant water but it seems I most definitely watered it too soon. I had it under a grow light but once it started wilting I moved it to this spot since sunlight tends to hit there in the afternoon and I thought it would enjoy and recover faster. ðŸ˜
It seems to be recovering a little bit I just wanted to know whether I should be pruning off whatever is not recovering or if I should repot it in case there is rot? Any advice would be appreciated!

It looks like you have a ton of plants in that pot. I’d try to separate them, they’re probably choking each other. Just make sure it gets a ton of sun and stays well-watered.
I just bought grocery store basil and transferred to a pot, it took about a week for it to get settled in the new pot. They looked exactly like this- wilted, but still completely green. Usually they are full sun but I found that they were looking a bit tired in the sun especially after being transplanted. I’d put it in partly sunny area, if you think you over watered then dont water for at least a few days or so and they should be upright in no time. Looks like there are a few in the back of the pot that already adjusted
Looks like multiple seeds were planted in each hole and then it was never thinned out.
I’ve been doing three holes per solo cup and one seed per hole. The healthiest 1 of 3 doesn’t get thinned.
