Last March I had random spots just turn yellow and then completely die by April leaving dirt patches. September I too coated, put down Twin City, watered, everything came back lovely. Mid October I started noticing yellowing again. And within 5 days (October 19) the grass was ruined, again. Beginning of April I put down seed and grass was germinating. Now (the May 6th pic) these spots came out of nowhere.

*grubs Last year I dug for grubs and found nothing. When you tug on the grass, it doesn’t came out. Also used grub ex last year at some point.

*Animals I live on a hill and have never in my 8 years here seen any animal up that high in my yard. They always use the bathroom on the easement (which has 0 spotting).

Only thing I’ve put down so far this year is Scott’s Triple action.

One thing that throws me off about today’s pic is that little line that connects two of the spots. I

Maybe Dollar spot or do you have a dog who likes that area?

Might be a leak in your sewer line. It seems to have started close to the house and traveled towards the street. Either this or someone is dumping something on your lawn there if not dogs

Do you have someone who cleans your house? Maybe they’re dumping cleaner or something into the yard

Looks like it got too much water somehow. Def does not look dog pee spot as I got them all over my yard 🤣

Clearly a liquid and a drool between the two spots. Sprayed anything or have a lawn company that may have done a spot treatment?! I declared war (of attrition) on grassy weeds in my lawn this year and will walk the lawn with gly once a month until overseed in september and blast anything I don’t want in there (well, anything with no selective available). Looks hilarious and whenever I drool it looks exactly like this.

  6. Do you have a gas-powered mower? If so check that out and make sure it’s not leaking fuel or oil! This really looks like something that’s been dripping all over the lawn.

Gas leak on a mower? Gas kills everything. And could leave drips like that across your yard.

Check the area for grubs. If you don’t find any, try fungicide.

If neither of those work, it’s something environmental like a chemical or overwatering or something.
