I posted a mite related rant a couple of months ago, as I kept finding pests on plant after plant, and wanted to throw the whole gang out at some point.
My Phalaenopsis, cattleyas and vandas has all stayed clear until now, and I decided to give my collection a reset. So I'm throwing out pretty much every oncidium I own, as they ALL have mites. And as I made the decision I treated myself by placing an order of a bunch of Phalaenopsis orchids I've wanted for a long time. Yesterday they arrived. I never expect any spikes when I order new plants, but these 8 plants arrived with a combined total of 9 spikes 🙌🏻
In other words, I am happy again, back on the orchid horse, looking forward to a summer with (hopefully!) a couple of brand new flowers 🌸🌸🌸
