I was beyond ecstatic last week when i found this girl with the discount tag at lowes ($20). Then today I discover my goats somehow got to it through my porch railings (please excuse the mess i’m just rebuilding the porch). Of course this was the only plant they touched. I’m so upset. Is there still hope? What can I do to help? I was already going to repot tomorrow with a better draining substrate. Please help 🥹

Put it in cactus/succulent soil and leave it outside in the sun. It’ll come back. Maybe re-chop where it got bit so it doesn’t get some weird fungus or something. But it’ll put out leaves after like a month
Use a pot half this size or smaller
Since you bought it already established,I would just remove the eaten leaves they should push out new leaves from the nodes.sorry for your loss but it’s not done for.Maybe cut the top with clean shears .
You’re definitely good. People used to really be into wet stick propagations a few years ago. Aside from this having an established root system, it is really no different, even one step ahead.
Leave the little leaf., cut down the chewed bits. Keep it moist and in a bright spot, it’ll be slow but it’ll bounce back.
It’ll be okay! I would wait a week or two to repot it though, just so it isn’t too much stress at once.
I hope your goats are okay! The leaves contain calcium oxalate crystals, which I know are toxic to humans, cats, and dogs. Goats kind of eat anything, so idk if they’d even be bothered or not, buy worth looking into
I would just clean it up by snipping the ends with sharp shears and then leave it – it will probably grow back and start pushing out new leaves soon.
Give those naughty goats a telling off though 🐐
