When does Wimbledon 2026 take place?

Wimbledon begins with qualifying from Monday 22 June, with the Round of 128, but the tournament proper starts on Monday 29 June, with the first round held over two days for both men and women (or ‘gentlemen’ and ‘ladies’ in the traditional parlance of the All England Club). Then the doubles gets underway on 1 July, and the mixed doubles on 3 July.

The tournament will then progress onwards through the next week and a bit, until the singles semifinals on 9 and 10 July (the women play first), and the finals respectively on 11 and 12 July (again, with women playing first). The mixed, men’s and women’s doubles finals will be on 9, 11 and 12 July respectively (note that here, the men’s doubles final is before the women’s).

How can you watch Wimbledon on TV?
