Want to try out your green thumb with a new plant? Or, how about watch a concert filled with up-and-coming local musicians?

There’s a lot to do in Lancaster County this weekend.

Events include the return of the Make-A-Wish Mother’s Day truck convoy, an herb and garden fair, a concert competition, a dance party celebrating Harry Styles, the return of Open Streets Lancaster, a fun day in Lititz and a concert with a local musician.

Herb & Garden Faire

Landis Valley Village & Farm Museum will host its annual Herb & Garden Faire this weekend, featuring more than 70 plant vendors, plenty of live demonstrations, heirloom plants, live entertainment, handmade garden decorations and more. This event is open to gardeners of every skill level and interest level.

Showdown in the Park

Local country bands and musicians will compete at the Showdown in the Park for a chance to open for country music festival I-105 FallFest. Both the festival and the showdown are put on by country radio station I-105 WIOV. Musicians will be able to perform for 15 minutes each. For seating, bring blankets or lawn chairs.

Charlie in the Question Mark concert

Singer-songwriter Charlie Muench will bring his new solo project, Charlie in the Question Mark, to West Art Friday. Muench toured with Americana band The Stray Birds from 2012-2018, alongside Lancaster County musicians Oliver Craven and Maya de Vitry.

Harry’s House Party

DJ Sheewolf and DJ Major Vibes will collaborate for a party that celebrates Harry Styles’ music, as well as the music of boy band One Direction (of which Styles was a member) and other boy bands.

Make-A-Wish Mother’s Day Truck Convoy

More than 400 trucks are expected to take part in the 37th annual Mother’s Day Truck Convoy this year. The event raises funds for Make-A-Wish Philadelphia, Delaware and Susquehanna Valley, and provides funding for around 75% of wishes in the Susquehanna Valley. Drivers take a 33-mile path, that starts in Manheim. Those interested in seeing it can additionally visit the LCBC Church, 2392 Mount Joy Road, Manheim, and Messick’s, 1475 Strickler Road, Mount Joy.

Second Saturday

Businesses in Lititz will celebrate the town’s Second Saturday event, featuring live performances, a spring fling at Wilbur Chocolate and more. The Lancaster Flower Shop will set up a photo opportunity on Juniper Lane, and the street will be closed to traffic.

Open Streets Lancaster

More than 8,000 people are expected to gather for the 11th annual Open Streets Lancaster event, which closes down Water Street to vehicle traffic and instead replaces it with vendors, activities and ways to get involved with the community. Attendees are encouraged to walk, bike, roller blade or skate through the activities.
