I got gifted this Jade plant (Now vs Before). It was really good but last week I had to go out for a trip so i put my plant in my gallery (shady sunlight) but water it too much thinking I'll be out for 7 days but when I come home all the leaves were shredded and I've been trying ask chat gpt about this (I'm a newbie, it's my first plant) and it keep telling me not to watered, it's been damaged due to sunlight and excessive watering but the condition is keep deteriorating and I'm panicking.
Idk if it's dead or can be saved, if it can be saved then how? What should I do? PLEASE HELP!!!?😭 It's my first plant ever and I don't want it to be dead.

Soil honestly looks incorrect for a jade plant, and it’s dry. You watered this before your trip? The soil looks like… clay? Have you repotted it since being gifted it?
Do you have any animals around your plants? Was it outside in a storm (not sure what a gallery is)?
Hail Mary: get some good quality succulent soil, wash and check the roots, repot in a pot with a drainage hole, prune back the stem until you see some green, put in a spot with lots of light (at this stage no harsh direct afternoon sun) – and pray.
What exactly is a gallery in your case? Is this indoor or le outdoor? I’m confused about your mention of there being a storm if it was not left outside?
Congratulations on getting your first plant!
Unfortunately, this particular plant looks beyond help. Condolences for your loss.
HOWEVER, instead of panicking, embrace this loss as a learning opportunity rather than a feeling of failure and as motivation to try again with a new plant using the knowledge you gained from this one.
This gifted first plant brought you happiness and made you a newbie to plants. It taught you lessons which will help you identify future mistakes that will lead you to success with your second plant.
Warning: Once you get planting figured out (which won’t take you too long) your space may become filled with them and even then, you will somehow always find “just one more spot” to add another one to.
Don’t despair, your future plant happiness will overwhelm the sadness you are feeling over your first plant loss. Hang in there, and happy planting! 🙂
