those look like tomato plants to me! they volunteer all over so cal gardens like crazy 🌱

It can be pretty, but it can take over a full yard extremely quickly and get pretty large. If it’s not in a container I’d personally treat it like an aggressive weed. I rented a part of a duplex once where my entire section of front yard got completely consumed by it. Started out at the fenceline and seasonally took over the full area within two-three years. Yard maintenance was the landlord’s responsibility.
