Needs to be on an exterior wall to pull in and exhaust cooler air. Unless you’re just using it to circulate air, then it doesn’t matter.

Your recirculating air, would be good for the top ridge but would be a nightmare to clean and maintain in the long run. You should look for smart shutter fans that can be triggered via temp/humdiity levels that you set. I recommend ac Infiniti. Google cfm calculator and YouTube it up, cheers and good luck.

Fan should always blow out. Or, you’ll pull in rain and it won’t last long. Always wire it to blow out.
