I saw this in my local grocery today and was wondering if 20$cad was a good price? It seems like it would be for such a large, healthy plant but I have no clue what plants are worth. Thanks so much!

Yes, good price. BUT! Those types of palms are ridiculously hard to keep alive. Will probably be dead in under 2 months

oh wow that’s a gorgeous kentia palm and twenty bucks cad is actually a steal for that size. i’ve seen similar ones at plant shops going for like 40-60 dollars easy, especially with how full and healthy those fronds look. grocery stores usually have better prices than dedicated plant shops since there not really trying to make their main profit off plants. just make sure you check the soil isn’t totally soaked or bone dry before you buy it, and maybe peek under the pot for any root issues. i’d snag it if i were you, kentas are such good low maintenance houseplants once they settle in

We have them for $14USD and we are the lowest price place in our city

They are $29.99 at Home Depot in California. I’m pretty good with plants. I have many and they thrive. I used to work on farms with the plants and have been in the landscaping industry for many years… I had one of these and it lasted maybe 3 months then just started dying for no reason that I could figure out.

Not a great plant, there’s better.

I go to home Depot in the morning to see what plants are on sale, but compared to those prices for a plant of the same size, I’d say that’s a steal!

It is an average price. Majesty palms get pretty big. If you are looking for an inside palm maybe get a Cat Palm.

Just know what you’re getting in to. No reason you can’t keep it alive but there is a process
