If you are like me, I steal dirt from locations within 10 miles from my home, just a 2 or 3 gallon bucket worth, and then add that dirt with dirt from my land.. I always choose locations that I know have been totally left alone for 25 years.
Dried eggshells, crushed … need to be mixed with vinegar to initiate the biochemistry that frees the Calcium mineral content … allowing earthworms etc to absorb properly.
I just wonder on reading this part here regards to needing to use vinegar to initate that, to free the chemistry/calcium mineral content …allowing eartworms etc to absorb biochemistry properly, could possibly kill the earth worms as vinegar is somewhat acidic @askaninjarulz

If placed on bear earth instead of plastic bucket, worms will come up and add nutrients too.
