Why did they sprout so little after a month?
I haven't done anything with them other than water them. They sit under a bright lamp (6500K, 20W) for about 10-12 hours every day.

Soil looks super moist/compacted. What did you use? Seeds benefit from specific soil made for growing seedlings.
