ALEXANDRIA
— Spring has definitely sprung when prom season rolls around. Alexandria Area High School and Brandon-Evansville High School proms took place Saturday, May 2, while Osakis High School held its prom Saturday, April 25.
Each school had its own unique theme, which were as follows:
Alexandria — Enchanted ForestBrandon-Evansville — Midnight Masquerade: Secrets of the NightOsakis — Midnight Rendezvous
Grand march at AAHS took place at three different times — 4, 5 and 6 p.m. The Brandon-Evansville grand march took place at 7 p.m. with Osakis holding its grand march at 7:30 p.m.

The Echo Press attended the 4 p.m. grand march for Alexandria and took some photos. Mark Ripley with Select Digital Memories took photos at each of the grand marches for AAHS. His photos can be found at

Amy Tolifson from Tolifson Photography was set up in Osakis to take posed pictures, but very few students had their pictures taken. Those who did can find their photos on

Celeste Edenloff is the special projects editor and senior reporter for the Alexandria Echo Press. She has lived in the Alexandria Lakes Area since 1997. She first worked for the Echo Press as a reporter from 1999 to 2011, and returned in 2016 to once again report on the community she calls home.
