This past week I’ve been loosing leaves from my lovely big pothos that is in a med/large pot climbing up a pole.
I can’t find any bugs. But I have found some evidence! Whose bite mark is this …….. I suspect the cat 🐱

Yeah. It’s a cat. They do learn to leave them alone. Mine did.

My roommate has two cats… they chewed down spider plants I had on the sill completely (I think it’s a little psychoactive for cats)… and also chewed on palms I had (which got a ton of spider mites so those went out the door anyway)….

They did bother other plants some, but they were plants that tend to cause irritation where they bite. These would cause almost immediate irritation so they should prob stop trying after a couple times. But – if they are actually eating them or will continue you should put them where they can’t get them bc they are toxic.

Cat! Our youngest cat did this when he was a kitten. Over time he lost interest, I’d redirect him away from the plant stand and I was able to move the plants a bit higher thankfully. Sometimes he still tries to get to them when he’s ultra bored, but I’ve bombarded the area around the stand so he can’t reach them without making an incredible mess 😅 plant should be fine, just has some scars now.

  4. Pothos can be very toxic to cats! Please be careful with them around your pets.
