    I’ve only ever known etiolated to mean bleached by lack of sunlight (eg asparagus, cauliflower). Thank you for improving my vocabulary! Now I can refer to half my houseplants as ‘etiolated’ instead of ‘leggy’. It sounds more dignified, perhaps even intentional, lol.

    For what it’s worth, I’ve embraced the etiolation (on some) and trained them into wacky Seussian shapes. For others, I’ve nipped off the top and rooted into soil to (at least temporarily) regain their intended grown habit. Rinse and repeat.
