I recently installed a new fence which was previously a full ivy wall which damaged the fence. I installed four new iceberg rose trellises sitting about 15” in front of the fence but the gaps between them look empty to me (just a single lomandra in between each for now). Should I leave as is or plant something else in between the trellises? I’m also planning an area of star jasmine in the far left corner and am considering if it’s worth expanding that across the whole fence line behind the trellises. Thank you.

Maybe add some large pots to put annuals in to add color. The bed seems pretty full already

looks like a great cozy backyard place I would enjoy. Maybe see how much growth you get from lomandra this season for now. I not an expert but I like the look. Good job.

A beer, your family and a fire is all I see missing

I think 56 cypress trees would really fill in the gaps

Maybe a focal point in the corner where the 2 trees are. A feature tree perhaps.

A dining table? Umbrella? Trellis over it? Fountain? More color

hanging baskets with creeping annuals filling the spaces over the grasses?

It looks amazing!! Why not give it this year and enjoy it then see what you want for next year ;). Only thing, to my eye, that could add some pop would be low flowers around and between roses. But don’t rush in to it. Leave something to do for next year :). Enjoy in good health 🙏🏽

I believe a Japanese maple is what you’re missing.

bloomong bushes seens too small considering size of trees in background

  11. As an Italian with many Our Lady of Lourdes statues in the front yard, needs more Italian flags.

JK-Good work. Youll have a fun summer hangout spot.

I’d be inclined to let the new plants grow in a while before doing much. Maybe add some annual flowers for color jn the meantime, and maybe a bird bath but it looks really nice overall!

I would do a cypress or arborvitae. The low grasses can go in pots. You need something else with height complimentary to the roses.

Purple, Red, Orange and Yellow! Looks clean but get some chaos gardening going with more color. Nature isn’t clean and you could be picking up on that. Great yard!

    I think not, it’s perfect.

I’d definitely plant something in between the trellises. I suggest something mid-height (lower than the yellow and higher than the grasses) and colorful with the same water requirements as the other two so you’re not changing your patterns for one plant. Beautiful space!

    Lighting. Needs some ground lights

In the second picture, I think it’s the “path” to no where that might be off. Where is that section of pavers “going to”.

If you had some type of seating area or feature in that space, it would give the mind clarity on the purpose.

Oh😂👣🪬🙏 yes, enjoy! Time needed for lomandra to fill in? I’d be tempted to plant a cheap colorful bedding plant, cosmos , zinnias, or! 🖖👏👏👏🙉🙈🙊
