Hi everyone! This is Peter the pothos. I recently got him without any prior houseplant care experience. He came in his pot and I haven’t changed anything re: potting, soil etc. He lives by a window and has been watered maybe every 2 weeks or less. Recently he has had some yellow leaves pop up (I only have a photo of the most recent one unfortunately, the others I pulled out and they came out very easily. He is very leggy and seems bright and green otherwise, but Google tells me the yellow leaves and brown spot could be root rot. Should I try repotting him and see what the roots look like? Thanks for any advice for a newcomer!

Older leaves will always die. It looks okay

If you are concerned, check the roots. You can have dry rot from letting it stay too dry or root rot from staying too wet.

I like to feel my plants after they’ve soaked (I bottom water) and feel them when they’ve dried out.
I’ll water when dry for pothos.
Never water on a schedule, you can over water/under water that way

Personally I would repot. When I get a new plant I pretty much always repot because I like to check out the root situation and know what mixture my plant is in.
