WINONA LAKE – Kosciusko County Master Gardener Association is inviting the community to its next “Munch and Learn” session at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 12, at the Robin Hood Community Center, 1436 Camelot Drive, Winona Lake.
This is a free event to learn more about gardening topics.
John Woodmansee, agriculture and natural resources educator in Whitley County, will be speaking about how gardeners should care for shrubs and other woody plants in the landscape. Participants will learn why pruning is important, when to prune different types of woody perennials and how to make proper cuts that promote plant health, structure and flowering. The session should be ideal for homeowners and gardeners looking to improve their pruning skills and landscape results.
While the presentation begins at 7 p.m., everyone is invited to arrive at 6:30 p.m. for a time to meet and talk with other gardeners in the area. Please bring a snack or refreshment to share with the group during this time.
