Hi, I’d like to know if there are any house plants or indoor plants that can grow in a soil mix of (40% clay heavy red soil, 35% peat moss, 20% fine play sand, 5% excavator clay)?
The soil will form a crust or compact together when dried.
I can’t add any larger particles because the plant is being planted in my snake’s enclosure.

as always, zz plant, snake plant, and cast iron plant (basically unkillable) would likely work there. If you’ve got more light you might even be able to pull off some hardier flowers like gaillardia, coreopsis or black eyed susan’s.
I disagree, ZZ plant need quick draining soil. Snake plants like fast draining gritty soil & neither if those will work in an enclosed area.
