Got this Drosera Madagarensis last week. Planned it immediately in a 50/25/25 peat/Perlite/sand mix.

Put it in a ziplock to support acclimation but it's been hot and I think it fried it.

Don't think it's salvageable but let me know your thoughts.

    Did you put the whole setup outside? I would only Ziplock it periodically on the windowsill.

    In general I have never ziplocked any Drosera so far. They did allways fine without it.

    Yeah, it’s probably dead but there’s still a chance you might see it come back to life from the roots in a few weeks… or months. It’s a drosera afterall, and in my experience madagascariensis is quite a sturdy drosera. I’d say cross your fingers and keep the soil wet for a while!

    And by the way, don’t feel defeated. It’s normal to see some plants die even though we believe we’re taking care of them as best as we can 🙂

    Give it a few months (sometimes a year) and if any bit of the root is alive, it will regrow
