Tools that’ll make any gardening mama happy. Sponsored by Dramm.

SEATTLE — This Mother’s Day, master gardener Ciscoe Morris has rounded up a handful of thoughtful, practical gifts guaranteed to delight the gardening mom in your life.

Morris kicked things off with a fan favorite: a simple two-setting hand nozzle from Dramm. The tool features a high-pressure stream setting strong enough to knock a plant right out of the ground, and a gentle shower setting ideal for watering delicate plants. Its thumb-operated design makes it easy to use with one hand.

“I love this tool. I couldn’t be without it,” Morris said.

From there, Morris moved to another watering essential, a quality watering can. No gardener, he said, should be without a well-made one.

Hand pruners also made the list. Morris emphasized the importance of keeping a set of good pruners on hand, as well as a holster to store them in. Alongside that, he recommended treating mom to a pair of attractive, high-quality gardening gloves, a gift that’s both functional and stylish.

For sun protection, Morris suggested gifting a garden hat, his particular hat is crowned with a bouquet of Brussels sprouts, of course.  He noted that keeping mom protected from the elements is just as important as any other tool in the garden shed.

Finally, Morris wrapped up his list with what he called a timeless Mother’s Day classic: a plant. His recommendation was to find a beautiful pot and fill it with a bright combination planting. It’s a gift, he said, that any gardening mom is sure to love.

“Happy Mother’s Day, everybody!” Morris said.
