So i got this from my work about 2 weeks ago and the soil was extremely hydrophobic and the plant was extremely dehydrated

I changed the soil to a orchid bark, perlite, peat moss, charcoal mix, watered it, and gave it support but it doesn't look much better imo

Am i just being impatient? Should I water it slightly more frequently for a bit because of how dry it was?

Pic 1 is it now, 2 is before (which looking at it may actually look better?)

Give it time to adjust, monsteras take a bit, and this one looks like it’s still pretty young. You did the right things. I rescued a Thai constellation from my niece who had it pecked at by her pet birds, and was severely dehydrated, I have the same lights, I did the same exact steps as you and gave it some fertilizer and water. It just needs to get acclimated, it’ll grow.

Do not water it more to compensate for lack of water before.
