These weird red bugs have been on my cactus every time I look at it, I don’t think their ants but they could be. I don’t think they’ve been eating the cactus but I’m not sure can someone help me identify them and help me get rid of them if I need to

Look like assassin bug nymphs, no need to get rid of them
You might find more help at one of the insect subs.
Assassin bug nymph. I got bit by one of those last weekend because I let it crawl on my knee while I was gardening. I knew what it was but had no idea they would bite people.
Is this Mammillaria spinosissima f. rubrispina?
These are not assassin bug nyphs. They are leaf footed stink bug nyphs. Stink bug nyphs gather in groups. Plus they have two dots on they’re abodomen. They pierce and suck on plants.
Kill them

Leaf footed bugs can damage some types of cacti but this one basically has a spine shield so it could be okay.
