Ortho Weed-b-gon in their hose sprayer bottle. Hose down the lawn. May need to do it more than once a couple weeks apart.

  2. Chronza

It’s a rental just mow them and forget

A selective herbicide of some sort, just make sure it only targets broadleaf weeds, not grass.

Hit up your local hardware or garden supply store and see what they have available.

Spray them before they seed. Seed in the fall.

Do you have kids? Dogs? If not .. murder them all (the weeds of course).

Or be passive and use the Scott’s weed n feed. Just do it correctly. That should kill all dandelions, and allow the grass to grow. Reassess after a week or 2

I’m in a rental too. Honestly, one application of Triple Action went a long way. As long as you apply it correctly it’ll do a fair job without breaking the bank.

Those don’t look like the dandelions we have in the Midwest. Picture is unclear blown up, but vaguely looks like Canada thistle. Still 2,4-D is the go-to on broadleaves, won’t hurt the grass.

At least it’s not creeping Charlie.

Grampas weeder. Pull them. Soak in some water for a few days. Strain water. Compost the greens, use the water (diluted) as free fertilizer for the intentional plants you want.

You take time stamped/dated photos in case the landlord blames you for not maintaining the “lawn.”

If you truly want to spend a bunch of money fixing it destroy it in the Fall and start fresh but I wouldn’t waste the money. It doesn’t look like there’s grass there to save.

I rented a townhouse that was a shitshow with no sprinklers. Eventuality I gave up, at least the weeds were green lol

Scott’s in the fall and again in the spring

Dandelions are great for your liver. For inflammation detoxification support.

I had the same issue, Scott’s turf feed and feed did the trick after a month they turned white just follow the directions on the bag

  14. Buy a weed puller. Every day go and spend 10-15 mins out there, then put it down and go about the rest of your day.

I used to do this when I got home, my front yard was full of them and bindis. After a couple of weeks my lawn was totally weed free. Then I’d just check it once a week and pluck any new seedlings coming up. Grass grew back in really well.

Dig them up and eat them. Good stuff.

Pop them out after a rain. There are cool tools that you can buy fir this purpose that makes the job easier.

I like the weed puller tool. Is kinda cathartic in a way.

The only good dandelion is a dead dandelion.

I’m from Buenos Aires and I say 2-4D them all!

  19. Just_Candle_315

You dont. Its a rental let homeowner deal with it save your money.

  20. Various-Performer-15

    Spray. And spray. And spray

  21. DoItRightOnce1st

If u spray them u will have only dirt. U might want to pull some out and cut the grass short to see what happens…imo it’s a rental the owner obviously doesn’t care. That doesn’t me u don’t though.

You notify your landlord and crack open a beer
