B&M is stocking a ‘stylish’ lamp that ‘looks good in any room’ for a fraction of the cost of a comparable version sold at John Lewis. The budget retailer is widely beloved across the country for its extensive range of products at purse-friendly prices.
It has become a viral hit amongst shoppers on social media, as it regularly stocks affordable alternatives to pricier designer products that may appeal to those keeping a close eye on their spending. One such example is B&M’s Small Paper Rope Lamp, available in stores for £12. The lamp could easily be mistaken for John Lewis’ Pacific Allona Woven Rattan Table Lamp, which retails at £149, reports Liverpool Echo.

While they are not identical, B&M’s £12 lamp presents a far more budget-conscious option for anyone who admires the aesthetic of John Lewis’ version but would rather not splash out unnecessarily.
Both lamps boast a rattan-style base with a curved silhouette, complemented by a circular lampshade in pale cream. However, the John Lewis lamp is substantially larger (60cm x 49cm x 49cm) compared to B&M’s offering, which measures 18cm deep and 33cm tall, according to the Mirror.
On B&M’s website, the product description for the £12 lamp reads: “Light up your home with this stylish Small Paper Rope Lamp. This lamp gives a natural and earthy look and would look great as a side table, bedside or hallway lamp.”
The lamp is crafted from linen and paper rattan. Its bulb capacity is E14, Voltage 220-240V, with a maximum wattage of 40W. Customers can browse additional lamps online or buy in-store at B&M.
