Someone gifted me a pot that had like 3 types of Echeveria and a jade plant in it. A few weeks after I got it, it exploded into a gazillion pieces. I left the pieces in the pot because I had too much going on to deal with it at the time and now a year and a half later it looks like this.

It’s in a window that gets a decent amount of light all day long. I rotate it once a week so it doesn’t stretch for the sun (clearly that’s working out oh so well lol). I water it maybe once every other month by sticking it in the shower with the rest of my plants for 1-2 minutes. It’s in whatever soil Target put it in when they sold it to my friend two years ago.

What do I do? How do I fix this?

A common problem with cacti and succulents is etiolation. This is when a succulent stretches or becomes leggy. Reply with “!etiolation” for advice.

Try putting them outside for more sun. Try to find a spot that gets a couple of hours of sun, and then shade the rest of the day. Then move it to a spot that gets several hours of sun and a few hours of shade for a few days. And then full sun

They don’t look dehydrated, but you can probably water a little more often. Once a month or so
