One of the stems on my pothos plant looks like this – not sure what’s best to do to get it to grow (can I get anything to grow from the little stubs?)

Thank you!

Yeah, chop and prop – I count 9 bare nodes (you can have 9 new vines) and I’d top chop that last bit and pull off the bottom leaf and then prop that – with more leaves on it it might get roots a little faster.

Then you can either – make a new plant altogether with those props once they root and have a new pothos plant with multiple growing vines, or you can put those rooted cuttings back into this pot to make the plant larger.

More growth might happen on your main plant when you cut it too. Maybe it’ll shoot out some extra leaves.

Were there leaves at those bare nodes that fell off/got taken off….or did they just never push out leaves?

  2. The long bare stem won’t grow other stems until you prune it back. So you’ll have to cut it if you want growth to resume on that stem from the bald spot. So chop and prop it .. I would cut it where the last leaf(node) is before it goes bald.

Chop the leggy ones… so easy to propagate and your mama will grow fuller 💚 they grow fairly steady!
