You have exposed and by now dried roots. Why is this sub so focussed on exposing roots. Roots go under ground. Flare goes above. Chips clear from the stem on the soil. The stem needs to be open to not be wet forever. The roots need to be wet.

A lot of these look like adventitious roots.
I can see the flare on pictures 3 & 4. The others not so much. Does that make sense?
Anything above the root flare are adventitious roots that can become girdling roots and should be clipped.
