The hobbit jade I've never trimmed or pruned, it just happened to grow beautifully on its own.

The baby jade required a lot more work with pruning to make sure its trunks got thick and woody enough to support the weight of its upper leaves. Baby jades definitely seem to grow a bit leggier than normal jades, in my experience.

I love succulents that grow woody tree-like stems. If you know of any other plants that do this, I'm sure my jades would love a friend. I've tried elephant bushes, but they just end up pissing me off. Too dramatic.
