These hairy vines and 3 leaf clusters are all over the established trees. I did some brush clearing to open up the back yard and I'm on an itchy struggle bus. Any pointers on how to manage this on my 5 acre plot? We have a 2yr old and this is right by the playground. the property was left unkept for 2yrs prior. Note the big circle scab is a burn mark for burning brush.

Yup, poison ivy on a honey locust tree.
yes, classic Toxicodendron radicans.
First time?
FYI never burn Poison Ivy.
Wear gloves, long clothing, and old shoes and cut out an inch or two of the vine at a low place of the tree trunk. Repeat horizontally all around the trunk to cut any other vine. The vine top will die and eventually it will not cause allergy any more. For the stuff growing on the ground, dig each out and put inside a trash bag right away.
Take off clothes and wrap them up with a plastic bag like they are dog poo. wash them extremely well in a machine or throw away. And spray herbicide on the re-sprouted roots.
My condolences. I am currently recovering from a pretty nasty bout of poison ivy rash myself.
Yep. Poison ivy. Tecnu wash over the area if it’s recent. Change sheets. Antihistamines can be helpful. If it get a lot worse or you just can’t stand it talk to a medical provider – steroids would be next step. Topical if stays local. Oral if becomes much worse.
I’m super allergic – go somewhere with a pharmacy and get Zanfel (walmart, CVS, Amazon, whatever). It will clear the rash right up and application of it is one of the best feelings in this itchy world we live in. Ain’t cheap but worth every gd penny.
Hit up your local drug store and grab some of this. Scrub everywhere you had bare skin when you came in contact with it. If you don’t wash the oils off, it’ll keep getting worse. Sooner the better.

Oh yeah! Healthy, vigorous and long established poison ivy
Please do not burn poison ivy brush. It sent a friend of mine to the emergency room
Please do not burn the poison ivy “brush”! The irritant in the plant becomes airborne in the smoke and can cause serious respiratory problems.
yes.
In the shower, douse yourself in alcohol and rinse off. It will eliminate the oils that causes the rash to spread. Fels Naptha soap helps as well
