I’ll cut right to the chase: I bought a PPP as a first-timer and have 2 questions:
-
This is the condition of the plant that I bought it in. Looks to be putting out a new leaf shortly! Do I need to separate the pup at the bottom (Photo 2) from the mother so they don’t hinder each other’s growth?
-
Should I be concerned that a couple of the leaves are crispy on the edges (Photo 3 and 4)?
I’m keeping her right in front of my West-facing window (pictured) but keeping the sheer curtain drawn to protect her from direct afternoon sunlight. There is a North-facing window to the direct right of these pictures that she is also near, and a humidifier set to 60% humidity about 2 feet away on that North windowsill.
Any advice based on the look of my specific plant would be greatly appreciated!

I just bought a new PPP at my Groc Out (my first one gave up on me pretty quickly), and I am committed to trying again. I have similar questions as you do, so I’m looking forward to learning from others’ expertise!
Your plant looks very nice! It’s up to you whether you separate out the pups, it will be fine as is for a while but you can do it if you want.
The crispy leaves are likely just from the plant slowly declining in the store. If it gets enough light and water the problem shouldn’t continue.
You say you’re keeping the sheers drawn, are those the curtains in the photo? Hard to tell here but I worry that they look like they might block out too much light. These want a lot of light to stay healthy!
