This is a kind of strange problem. I repotted this a couple of months ago and it’s growing like crazy. Most African violets I’ve had have just dropped bottom leaves, but this one has just been pushing out leaves and it’s gotten to the point I can barely jam my watering can between the leaves, they’re just so dense and hard. The flowers are struggling to push through the leaves! It feels more like a succulent. I’m wondering if I should remove some of the bottom leaves to get more access for watering? On the other hand I don’t want to mess with it because it’s doing so well. I’m also mad about my pot choice, I realized after the fact that because of the shape of the pot I’ll have to smash it to get the plant out of there if I ever repot it. Thoughts?

Can you water from the bottom? Like put the pot in a bowl of water and let the water absorb through the drainage holes. This is how I water mine
