I started with a pic of the finished product first but it was too pretty to bury. I used 4 peonies of similar size to the one in pic 2. I made a tea and let that steep for 24 hours. I added lemon juice to get the tea to turn pink. 4 cups of sugar and a package of pectin later I’ve got jelly

Oh my goodness! That is absolutely fabulous!
How could you leave out what it tastes like? I feel like that is the most important part.
I’m so curious as to how it tastes
Please update us on the taste, I’m very curious.
There is some type of pink roses that grow in bushes that you can make jam with adding sugar. Best jam I ever tried. Can be used for baking cakes, cookies and whatever.
I think peonies are mildly toxic. Roots are anyway.
That would be the best ant bait on the planet.
Gorgeous flowers into a gorgeous jelly hue. Well done, OP. I hope it tastes as good as it looks! 🩷
My hasband and i moved into a new house in a new town last fall and we decided to go check out one of the shops here. They had all kinds of spots for various local crafters and vendors and one of them did canning like pickles and jellies.
Lilac jelly
Lilacs are my favorite flower and i was absolutely shook to find out they could be made into jelly. We bought the only jar there and ate it almost immediately. Tasted very mildly sweet, wish i could remember to give an exact like flavor. Would make some myself this spring if i didnt end up having a baby 2 weeks after we went to that shop 😂
Our lilac bushes arent going anywhere though so someday ill have time to, hopefully the little guy will want to help make it 💖
Looks gorgeous! I’m not a huge fan of a lot of florals in food like rose and lavender, but I do love hibiscus flower so I would love to taste this.
Hooooooooold on.
Peonies are my most favourite backyard garden smell. Does this jelly taste like peonies smell (plus lemon)?!
