It is my first experience with begonias. I am trying to replicate it in sphagnum. I noticed that in the bottom there was something white and touching it goes away. Can it be mold/fungus ? Somebody can help me?

no mold there, the moss may be contaminated though, so just in case flush it with hydrogen peroxide, rinse and then put the petiole back to grow more.
