A few friends of mine and I have been doing working bee trades for our respective gardens as we all suffer from overwhelm with our own yardwork but love getting amongst our friends… it’s been a treat!!! But I gotta say it was painful looking at the amount of HUGE yuccas at my mates place today (it’s a rental so can’t cut them down sadly). Not pictured are about 5 more all along the front of the house that are WAY too close… I’m surprised there’s not already structural damage with how big and wide the trunks were.

Cut all that dead crap off their bases and do a tidy up should look great. Wear gloves and eye wear around them.

Great idea helping each other out. The best friends are ones who help each other out!

I’m going to still see these when I close my eye tonight. Trigger warning next time please.

  3. Mine were bigger and I got them professionally cut down. I will never grow them again. They are the worst tree plant to have in your garden.

Yeah they can yucc right off. Ours weren’t that bad but they were still awful. Makes a disgusting paste as you cut through them too

Can you post a picture of that person next to an Olympic sized swimming pool so that we can understand the scale?

Working bees with mates sounds like a great idea.
