I'm a moderate house plant collector. I've got a decent variety, ranging from carnivorous plants to the typical orchid, pothos, philodendron etc. I've been wanting begonias for a while and saw these on fb marketplace for cheap and snatched them up! I have a humidifier and a humidity/temp gauge.

Can someone explain the basics of begonia care? Do I need a terrarium? Special fertilizer? I don't trust the Google AI conglomerate answers.

I believe these are Begonia solimutata, begonia rajah, and begonia rex?

Major drama queens. I keep mine in a cabinet for high humidity. Like to stay a bit damp. Don’t be surprised if they drop leaves, all mine do.

IIRC, soli-mutata is relatively easy going abd not particularly spoiled. The third one also looks like a pretty uncomplicated rex (“rex” is a type, not a specific variety) that will do fine in ambient humidity. Rajah is supposedly a bit more finicky.
