I’m so sad! I’m staying with friends in NYC and brought a bouquet from my garden. This Golden Alexander has what a think is a swallowtail instar on it. Do people think I should bring the stem to Prospect Park (where there are native plantings) or should I bring him back to Maryland with me when I return on Monday?

aww, poor little traveler! I’d say bring it home BUT only if you then write a children’s story about a caterpillar going on a surprise round trip to The Big Apple on someone’s cut flowers 😭
