Hello💚
I’m an intermediate level hobbyist, and I just wanted to compare notes with fellow hoya lovers!
I'm curious about hoya growth rates…how much and how fast do your hoyas grow? I know everyone has different conditions, and it depends on the species, but I just thought it'd be fun to post pretty hoya pics and ogle each others' plants anyway!
I'll go first! Below are the conditions I grow this particular hoya in. Feel free to copy and paste while adding yours, or add additional info, and share your pics, please! I know you have hundreds of plant pics in your camera roll like me….🤣
Species: Lacunosa Queen Midori
Growth period: 8 months (1st-2nd pics now, 3rd pic shows 8 months ago as a rooted cutting)
Indoor/outdoor: indoors
Lighting: right next to southern window where it gets direct morning sun a few hours and then 6 more hours of full spectrum grow light
Watering: every 4-5 days
Soil: premade chunky mix including bark, pumice, tree fern
Fertilizer: 50% diluted NPK 7-4-4, given every other week
Humidity: about 50%, sitting on open shelving

That’s a lot of growth! Looks perfect.
It was a vine before it’s a flowy bush now. It’s growing fine
fastest growers: heuschkeliana, vangviengiensis, chouke, mathilde, fungii, curtisii, linearis, fitchii, kentiana var, wayetii, and any of my carnosa cultivars
slowest growers: clemensiorum, sabah epc961, sulawesi gps8867, kerrii
easiest: all fastest growers listed above plus insularis, crassipetiolata, australis lisa, obovata
hardest: slow growers listed above (minus kerrii, easy but slow af) plus sigillatis and retusa
fastest bloomer: heuschkeliana, bloomed from a single cutting after 8 months
most prolific bloomer: callistophylla kalimantan, been consistently blooming since february and just put out a new peduncle
Now this is new on my wish listtt 🥰😍
What fertilizer do you use ?:))
