We spent our first night on the property after closing yesterday. We didn’t bring a lot of this trip but it was reminisce of earlier years. When you first move into your new place with hardly anything, but yet, it’s your own place.
The few neighbors we do have around here all came over and said hello, offering up anything we need. There’s only 5 of us, to include us that will be back in this area full time.
We spent the evening with a good bourbon and a glass of wine just walking and enjoying the property.

Congratulations yall 🍻
Appreciate the solitude, I know I do. When we moved into our new homestead beck in December the neighbors were very welcoming, but one longtime resident did bring up a concern:
Brenda: So are you starting a subdivision back there?
Me: No, never! Why?
Brenda: It just seems like you have a LOT of people moving in.
Me: Well, my wife and I do have 6 kids, so there are 8 of us in all.
Brenda: I see. Well, considering that last week there were only 9 people living in this holler …
Congrats!! Hope it treats you well for years to come, enjoy!
