It looks like I need to cut a 7ft+ limb of my oldest cactus. There is a pup off the main branch that will grow into it plus it's shading out some of the interior limbs/pups. I was hesitant but hey it has to be done.
Question: Would you cut now and let that stump pup and grow over this summer? Or let it grow over the summer and cut in the fall? I'm going to cut just above or below the branch pup. That's the yellow marks. Just a reference.
