  1. It does appear to be poison ivy. You have my condolences.

I’m no poison ivy expert. We don’t even have it in my country. But from what I’ve seen on Reddit – the having 3 leaflets is a sign and the fact that there is a notch or single serration on the side of the leaflet is also a clue.
    I’m hesitantly saying yes.

Very healthy poison ivy! Be sure to wear protection when removing it…

Such a beautiful poison ivy, at that.

Yes a very healthy poison ivy plant. Oh dear.

Don‘t put it on a brush pile and burn it, because that can cause poison ivy in your lungs. Once you pull it down douse the roots with weed killer or that will pop back up because it’s demonic. I get it by just looking at it.

That is for sure poison ivy looks like a major issue

I’m itching looking at the pictures. If you are not familiar handling poison ivy, make sure you do your research (not just Reddit)

  8. Yes poison ivy- when oils come into contact with the skin that is when a reaction occurs. Just wear some disposable gloves and cut it back in small manageable chunks. Dispose of it in an appropriate way… you could compost it or dig a big hole and bury most of it. I’d probably throw away the seeds into the garbage so it doesn’t regrow. DO NOT BURN IT!! you should be fine! I’ve heard throwing a nail into the roots system should stop it from regrowing if you can’t access the tap root and remove it that way.

Welp – thanks for the confirmation. Not the most welcoming of house warming gifts!

If it’s any consolation, I’d trade you my field bindweed for that poison ivy.

Oh, you poor thing. Don’t use this entrance until it has withered back.

Glyphosate works well to cull poison ivy but takes 7-10 days to kill it. Needs to go on leaves. Will be easier to remove after.

Whatever you do, don’t burn it!
