So I picked up a drosera spatulata this morning and I noticed a little hitch hiker. The employee explained how it might have happened and suggested I enjoy the 2 for 1.
My question is, do I separate them? If so, when? I'm somewhat of a beginner.

I would. Most sundews are pretty good at shrugging off having their roots disturbed except for the dewy pine
It’s just not something they tend to care about lol. All they want is soil, water, and sun.
Edit: as for how, turn the pot on its side and roll it to get the soil away from the pot, then gently slide it out onto your hand and start digging until you find the roots. Then, just gently detangle them like you would any other stringy thing. Just, be careful about snapping the roots. It’s not the end of the world if a few do break, though.
