hii, i just got this monstera a week ago and need some honest insight on how to best care for it. my home doesnt get great light and i'm noticing some browning and yellowing on the leaves. any help?
maybe get a grow light, also u might wanna check the soil if u got it from a box store – i feel like usually they put them in a super dense soil that’s just too heavy for them – changing that might help. if it doesn’t have the correct light it’s gonna start growing weird like super long stems
– id say:
get a grow light
look at the soil and see how dense it is: if it’s super heavy, compact or soaking wet i’d recommend changing it to a lighter, airy mix: mine are in fox farms ocean forest + perlite + orchid bark
also you can water with a leafy fertilizer – just add to water, ive found this really helps monsteras take off!

That browning and yellowing should be fine, it’s likely from something at the store you got it from. Get it a good airy soil like an aroid mix. You could also make your own mixture like the other comment said this is also a good idea. Give it lots of light ! Check for pests also

That yellowish leaf looks like a fresh leaf to me and should darken as it matures.
