It’s not perfect and I still have a ways to go (mulching, edging). I can’t believe how big that Agastache has gotten. Some of the salvia in the front is getting leggy but other than that I’m happy with it. Going to replace the Mexican Heather annuals (I didn’t know 😒) with coral berry bushes in the fall. I do hope these fill out a little more next season. Cheers to more native plant sales and solidifying myself as the neighborhood crazy garden lady!

This is gonna fill in and look incredible in a year or 2. The wait for plants to fill out and explode is excruciating but all the hard work now will pay off when you don’t have to do much to it later on!!

Keep at it, I have been working on a native habitat for 3 years now and once fall rolls around I will finally be able to complete it and move on to the next project of 5 I have started right now

    Pretty based tbh.

    Information is power.

Refine your skills like gold in a smelting furnace.

    Keep 👏going👏

If you are able, add a lot more plants versus a ton of mulch

  5. Great job! It is so nice. Just wait until next year! 💕

I am a big fan of cramming in plants in small spaces. I think about 6-8 inches between plants should be enough, and having multiples of the same plant (usually arranged in 3s) helps create the look of swathes of plants in meadow. f you end up planting too many plants then you’re in luck because you have more plants that can transplant elsewhere!
