Why? It’s super uneven and takes an astronomical amount of water that mostly gets lost to evaporation. The peat will hold on to water longer and also be less restrictive to my bigger sarracenia. Roots will be more insulated while providing maximum sun exposure which will boost growth.

How deep is that one? I could probably get away with adding another 4×4 around the top of mine to add depth!
