ID please?
I have always thought this was a type of cholla. I’m not sure now, since its flower bud formation looks different from my other cholla. Looks more like the flowering pattern of a mammillaria. Also, it seems to be a prostrate grower, like my mammillaria and unlike my other cholla.

Cochemiea poselgeri. Related to mammallaria. Recently they added some of the larger flowering mams to it, as well ortegocactus…
Pretty uncommon in cultivation.
